I recently came across this site when I spotted a bid item for a new iPad for under $13.00 I thought that there was an error. Upon finding the site and looking at the items I was impressed with the variety of the merchandise and the quality, they are all top brands. The first items were a Galaxy Tab that had a bid of $88.88 on it and a Nikon D-90 Camera that had a bid of  just over $15.00 on it. Being naturally skeptical I searched online and found an advetorial by a Julie Becker at MyChannel 2 news.com. I had never seen the term advetorial before and examined the whole site. Upon further investigation Julie Becker is a fake character and the disclaimer at the bottom of the page follows.

THE RESULTS PROTRAYED IN THE STORY AND IN THE COMMENTS ARE ILLUSTRATIVE AND MAY NOT BE THE RESULTS THAT YOU ACHIEVE WITH THESE PRODUCTS. THIS PAGE RECEIVES COMPENSATION FOR CLICKS ON OR PURCHASE OF PRODUCTS FEATURED ON THIS SITE.”

The comments on the page appear to be real and the examples of the deals that have transpired are awesome.  Remember the old saying “If it sounds to good to be true then it probably isn’t.”

Tradeslive needs another iPad for the sales team and we will experiment with the site and let you know. In the mean time beware of online deals that sound to good to be true and read the disclaimers at the very bottom. The site MyChannel2newstoday.com appears to be a real television channel but in fact is an advertisement for the auction house. To their credit the disclaimer is in large print and not in teeny tiny letters.
